Rachel founded RFA in 2018 with a desire to create a boutique Advisory practice that offers a tailored service to clients facing financial distress, recovering from crisis or simply wishing to kick on and grow. Leveraging from a sound reputation in the NI market, RFA was born.
A Chartered Accountant and Insolvency Practitioner Rachel is an advisor with over 15 years’ experience. She prides herself on offering a service that helps ease the pressures faced by business owners.
What’s involved in your job?
My job has evolved from dealing with absolutely everything in RFA to focusing on delegation. I am focused on developing and mentoring our team to deliver a first class service. I am still the primary contact point for clients and our referral base, from there the team and I develop a plan to deal with issues as they arise.
What was the most valuable piece of advice you have ever been given?
“Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.” Brian O’Driscoll
What drives you?
I love easing the pressure for my clients, whether a business is in distress or going through a growth phase having a trusted advisor can really make a difference. On a personal level I love the variety, I maintain that no matter what my son Jack wants to do I will know someone in the industry and I’ll support him.
What do you do outside work?
I love spending time with my family and friends for hopefully they will be there long after RFA. I enjoy sharing a glass of wine, a laugh and good food with friends.
